Legionnaires’ disease continues to be a significant health risk. In hotels, the disease can spread if the bacteria grows in a building water systems and is distributed through aerators like air conditioning, showers, and fountains. Legionnaires by the numbers:

  • Between 2000 and 2018, over 84,000 cases of Legionnaires’ disease were reported in the U.S.
